The latest version of BOYD has a few new features and a lot of performance improvements, in addition to Polars (1.36.1) and Plotly Dash (3.3.0) updates.
Pre-Collection Account Filtering
BOYD Settings now allows users to pre-filter their raw Cost and Usage Report (CUR) datasets by account ID. After configuring your session profile and bucket/prefix, the “Get Accounts Available” button will extract account IDs in the selected CUR and users can select the account IDs relevant to their analysis use case.
Excavation Reports
Building on the value of “Dig Mode” and all the meaningful data collected, Excavation Reports provide a centralized interface for generating summary exports and analyzing results. BOYD analysis columns (for supported resources) will highlight potential waste and security/compliance issues.
Selecting a result in the Excavation Report Grid will show cost, usage (if usage amount/consumed quantity are included in your schema selection) and Cloudtrail activity (if excavated).
